Destiny Church Joins White Settlement Police in Effort to Strengthen Fort Worth CommunitiesSource: White Settlement Police Department

To form a more cohesive effort towards nurturing healthier communities in Fort Worth, Destiny Church of DFW has joined forces with the White Settlement Police Department’s Pastor’s Coalition. This newly minted partnership, according to the White Settlement Police Department, will see the coalition expanding its ambit of operations which ranges from resource distribution, such as food banks and shelters, to working with Tarrant County on housing solutions for the homeless.

As part of the coalition, Destiny Church, led by Pastor James Spencer, will be contributing to a diverse set of community services that include counseling, emergency clothing provisions, and youth engagement initiatives, the White Settlement Police Department shared this with the public. Chief Christopher Cook expressed excitement about the partnership, citing the connection made with Destiny Church figures including Pastor Spencer, Delois Ford, and Kiana Rigmaiden, and their plans to address community health from West Ft. Worth to White Settlement’s southern fringes.

Pastor Spencer’s integration into the Pastor’s Coalition is lauded as a step forward for the community, bringing together over twenty faith-based groups into a unified response network that responds to critical incidents involving tragedy and loss of life among other pivotal moments of community strife. The pastors and chaplains in the coalition stand ready to provide crucial support during such times, currently spearheaded by Pastor Charles Lavine and Pastor Kyle Nieman from First Baptist Church.

The White Settlement Police Department looks to cultivate more opportunities for youth engagement, with Pastor Spencer and his team playing a central role. "We look forward to working with Pastor Spencer and his team on youth engagement opportunities and community investments!" stated the White Settlement Police Department, emphasizing the coalition's shared vision for a fortified, supportive community.
