A Milwaukee steakhouse owner with a previous sex crime conviction is facing fresh allegations of child sex trafficking and pornography, authorities reported. Stelio Kalkounos, the main owner of Five O'Clock Steakhouse, was arrested in Broward County, Florida, at a Hollywood hotel. The indictment accuses him of recruiting and using a minor to engage in commercial sex acts and produce child pornography from July 2023 to March 2024, according to Local 10.

Previously convicted in 2006 for a sex crime involving a minor, Kalkounos was sentenced to 46 months in prison and registered as a sex offender. The recent federal documents assert he's now accused of luring a minor into sex trafficking and creating exploitative material. Although the indictment has revealed little, it states on November 20, 2023, Kalkounos "used a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct," as obtained by CBS 58.

Kalkounos, aged 51, appeared in a Fort Lauderdale federal court, following his arrest. Prosecutors have pointed out that he could potentially face a life sentence if convicted on these fresh charges. The details of the allegations suggest an ongoing abuse starting from mid-2023.

The Justice Department, withholding information about which hotel Kalkounos was arrested in, thanked the Seminole Police Department for their assistance — their jurisdiction includes the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Kalkounos is currently being held at the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, pending extradition to Wisconsin, where he will stand trial in a Madison federal court. Arrested at a hotel, federal authorities took him into custody for more child sex crimes, as stated by Local 10.
