A tragic incident in the quiet streets of Graham has left residents in shock as a man was reportedly killed by a pellet gun shot by his girlfriend, authorities say. According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department blotter, deputies responded to a call of a shooting at around 6:35 pm yesterday at a home near 252nd St E and 52nd Ave E, where they discovered a 51-year-old man deceased outside the residence.

The investigation at the grim scene revealed that the man's 49-year-old girlfriend had allegedly used a pellet gun to shoot him which resulted in his death, the reason for the domestic dispute that culminated in the fatal shooting has yet to be disclosed by law enforcement. After the deputies arrived and found the victim, the girlfriend was arrested and is now facing Murder in the 2nd Degree charges, as she was booked into the Pierce County Jail.

The ongoing investigation also entailed a search warrant, executed inside of the home, which allowed officers to seize the pellet gun and other relevant items.
