A devastating head-on crash involving two SUVs has left a section of Krome Avenue in Southwest Miami-Dade, closed earlier today. As reported by NBC 6, both vehicles were left with severe damage following the collision that occurred in the early hours.

The impact of the crash was intense, with Chopper 6 capturing images of the wreckage that showed both SUVs with their fronts completely annihilated. Traffic, as a result was brought to a standstill in both directions, extending from Southwest 288th Street to 296th Street. The Florida Highway Patrol has yet to release details on the casualties or the cause of the collision.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the crash. The Miami Herald also confirmed the road closure in a traffic alert issued via X, underscoring the severity of the incident.
