Firefighters in Hollywood made short work of a fire at a previously burned-out building, knocking down the flames in a rapid 11 minutes on Tuesday night. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the blaze broke out in a vacant two-story multi-family residential structure at 6842 W Sunset Bl, with fire showing when units arrived on scene.

The swift response from LAFD ensured that no injuries were reported in the fire that started before the clock struck 10:03 p.m. A total of 24 firefighters arrived promptly after the emergency call was placed and were able to quell the flames, saving the building from further damage. "The first 24 firefighters quickly extinguished the flames in 11 minutes (10:03pm) from the time the 9-1-1 call was placed," noted the LAFD statement.

Officials are now investigating to determine the cause of the fire. This particular building, located in the West Bureau's jurisdiction under Council District 13, is no stranger to fire's touch, suggesting a possible pattern that authorities will undoubtedly want to scrutinize.
