Houston Police Search for Shooter After Confrontation Outside Wingstop Turns ViolentSource: Google Street View

Chaos erupted at a southwest Houston Wingstop late yesterday evening following a physical altercation that led to gunfire. The Houston Police Department is now on the hunt for the shooter who opened fire after a disturbingly trivial confrontation spiraled out of control.

The incident occurred outside the fast-food joint located on the 7500 block of West Bellfort Avenue. Reports from witnesses at Wingstop suggest that a chance bump between two men quickly escalated into a full-blown fight. According to FOX 26 Houston, the conflict began when one of the individuals accidentally bumped into the other while they were entering the establishment.

As tensions rose, one man proceeded to his vehicle, presumably to retrieve a firearm. It was at this point, the situation took a lethal turn. The other individual, having already retrieved his weapon, discharged it, striking the first man at least twice. Emergency services promptly responded, rushing the victim to a nearby hospital with injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening.

The gunman fled the scene, and authorities are actively seeking information on his whereabouts. KIAH reported that investigators are asking anyone with knowledge on the incident to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
