A disturbance call in a Houston neighborhood ended with a woman behind bars after she allegedly brandished a firearm during an argument and later attacked two deputies. The incident, occurring on Twilight Moon Drive, triggered a response from deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office yesterday evening.

Officials were dispatched to the 10000 block after receiving reports of a standoffish situation. The suspect, identified as Victoria Ament, was reported to have pointed a gun at another individual during a verbal spat. Deputies quickly moved to detain Ament upon arrival at the scene. However, the situation rapidly devolved further when she claimed to require medical attention and subsequently became combative with EMS personnel, proceeding to assault two constables in the chaos that ensued.

In a statement released by Constable Mark Herman's Office and posted on Facebook, it was confirmed that "Victoria Ament was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Aggravated Assault and Assault on Public Servant." Details regarding the suspect's court and bond have yet to be disclosed to the public.

The circumstances leading up to the initial altercation remain under investigation, with the constable's office urging anyone with further information to come forward. The aggrieved deputies received medical aid and are expected to make a full recovery.
