A man is fighting for his life after being shot late Wednesday night, and Memphis authorities are calling for public assistance to piece together the incident. In what culminated into an emergency call preluding the stroke of Thursday, first responders found themselves at the nexus of Poplar Avenue and Ridgeway Road, dispensing life-preserving efforts on a gunshot victim.

Details provided by WREG indicate the shooting occurred several miles away, near the intersection of Ridgeway Road and Knight Arnold Road but the man was discovered at an Exxon gas station. Authorities promptly transported him to Regional One in critical condition.
