Philadelphia's Central Detective Division is turning to the public for assistance in nabbing a burglar who hit a first-floor apartment in the city's affluent 9th District. In the early hours of April 23, a man broke into a residence on the 2100 block of Walnut Street, making off with several thousand dollars' worth of high-end jewelry, purses, and perfume.

The suspect, caught on surveillance footage, is described as a black male clad in a dark jacket, and gray pants, sporting a gray shirt with a distinct "Real Men Rock Pink" slogan across the front. The intruder is also seen wearing gray shoes as he made his illicit entry through a rear window around 12:30 am, according to the Philly Police blog.

The Philadelphia Police have cast a wide net, urging anyone with information about this individual or the burglary incident to come forward. The hope is that community members may recognize the suspect from the video footage or the signature apparel, and help bring this individual to justice.

Authorities have not disclosed whether this incident is thought to be connected to any other crimes in the area. Still, they believe that clear images of the suspect – captured by the apartment's security system – could be the key to solving the crime. With the case gaining more visibility, the department is adamant about catching the perpetrator who violated the sanctity of someone's home and personal belongings.
