A woman's body was found in a wooded area near US-59 just north of Livingston, sparking an urgent manhunt for the suspect, Polk County Sheriff's Office confirmed. The victim, identified as Jasmine Muldoon, was reported missing the previous day before her body was discovered on Monday.

Authorities have put out a murder warrant for De'Andre Shermail Wright, a 23-year-old from Livingston, and are actively seeking any information that could help to quickly apprehend the suspect. According to KHOU, "Deputies are asking the public for their help in locating Wright."

The case took a grim turn as Muldoon's remains were transported to the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause of death. Descriptions from the Polk County Sheriff's Office depict Wright as a Black male, approximately 5'11", and weighing around 200 pounds.

Members of the community with any knowledge of Wright's whereabouts have been urged not to directly engage him, but to rather immediately contact the nearest law enforcement agency. According to KTRK, "Deputies warn that if you see Wright, you should not approach him and instead, immediately contact the closest law enforcement agency."
