Swift action from the team, involving 2 Engines, 1 Truck, 1 Ambulance, 1 CARE Unit, 1 Fire Boat, and 1 Battalion Chief, ensured that the fire was extinguished and the danger to nearby vessels was averted.
The Alameda City Fire Department confirmed that no individuals were present on the boat when the fire was initiated, and the incident resulted in no injuries among the firefighting team. The Harbor Master was promptly notified of the situation. Further, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and the National Response Corporation (NRC) were also alerted regarding potential environmental cleanup efforts. A citizen captured video footage of the incident, providing a visual account of the harrowing moments as smoke billowed and flames leaped.
