
A vehicle crash involving an overturned tanker truck on Huckleberry Springs Road caused disruptions in East Knox County on Monday. The Rural Metro Fire Department responded to reports of diesel fuel and hydraulic fluid leaking from the truck. Authorities closed part of the road to ensure the safety of emergency crews, according to WVLT.
The leakage extended into a nearby creek. Rural Metro stated, "The wreck has resulted in diesel fuel and hydraulic fluid leaking into a nearby creek." Huckleberry Springs Road was closed between Drinnen and Flint Gap to manage the spill and remove the truck, as stated by WBIR.
Crews are working to upright an overturned tanker and clean up spilled diesel fuel and hydraulic fluid. Huckleberry Springs is closed, so crews can work safely, as reported by WATE. There have been no reported injuries, and the cause of the accident is under investigation. The road will remain closed as cleanup efforts continue.
