An unfortunate series of vehicle fires has disrupted normalcy in two different locations in Colorado, with an SUV going up in flames in Erie and a fire damaging four cars at a Denver tire shop. According to KDVR, an ember from a roadside grass blaze on Highway 52, just west of County Line Road, made its way into a passing SUV on Monday afternoon. The vehicle's interior was consumed by fire, rendering the SUV a "total loss," as Mountain View Fire Rescue responded to the incident.

Separately, in the early hours of Tuesday, a fire broke out at a Denver tire shop, resulting in four cars being caught in the blaze. Denver Fire Department reached the scene around 4:30 a.m., and though they managed to control the fire within an hour, the outbreak caused traffic delays on Federal Boulevard between 9th Ave., and 8th Ave., as reported by Denver7. While the southbound side of Federal was shut down due to the firefighting efforts, the northbound traffic continued to flow.

Despite the gravity of the vehicle fires, Denver Fire Department confirmed that there were no injuries from the fire at the tire shop, and the flames did not extend inside the building. Sharing an update via social media, the Department reported they had the situation under control as of approximately 5:24 a.m., according to 9News.
