
A tragic incident unfolded yesterday when a 7-year-old child died after being found in a neighborhood pool in Arlington. According to the Action News 5 report, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office responded to a call around 10 a.m., related to a missing boy who was later discovered at a pool on Oil Field Lane. Neighbors, drones, and about 10 deputies were mobilized to seamlessly coordinate the search for the endangered child.
The deputies began to immediately administer life-saving measures upon finding the boy. As reported by WREG, the Arlington Fire Department promptly transported the boy to Le Bonheur Hospital. Despite the efforts, he succumbed shortly after arriving in critical condition. The incident has cast a somber note over the community, with SCSO asking for "prayers for his family during this heartbreaking time."
Further information from a Local Memphis report detailed that the child's family had initially provided information that led to the immediate launch of the search. The undertaking involved the collective participation of SCSO, the local fire department, and area residents, showcasing the community's readiness to quickly rally together in the face of potential tragedy.
