
An automobile fire erupted in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood yesterday morning, but was quickly subdued by the Los Angeles Fire Department. The incident occurred at a residence on the 2400 block of S Catalina Street, according to the LAFD alert. Officials reported a truck was ablaze, threatening to spread to a nearby single-family dwelling.
Firefighters were able to swiftly extinguish the flames before they could cause damage to the home. In the process of responding to the emergency, a male individual, whose age remains unknown, was discovered with burn injuries. He is said to have been quickly transported to a local hospital and is in at least serious condition. The precise cause of the fire has not been disclosed at this time.
"Firefighters quickly extinguished the auto fire, preventing damage to the structure," the LAFD stated, emphasizing the prompt action taken to avert a potentially larger disaster. The rapid response of the firefighting team ensured safety for the residents and significantly reduced the risk to their property.
