
Las Vegas Metropolitan police are investigating an incident after a man was found dead in a swimming pool in the central Las Vegas valley yesterday afternoon. According to FOX5 Las Vegas, officers arrived at the scene in the 2600 block of East Palma Vista Avenue, close to Vegas Valley Drive and Eastern, at approximately 12:31 p.m.
The deceased man, who has not yet been identified, was discovered submerged in the pool and police are treating the death as a possible drowning. As per information obtained by 8 News Now, no further details regarding the circumstances of the man's death were immediately provided by authorities.
The incident comes following reports from family members, speaking to FOX5 Las Vegas, noting that a pool party had taken place at the residence the night before, which police had been called to disband. The family claimed that they had not heard from their loved one afterward, and when they went to check the home, they found the body in the pool.
As the investigation continues, the Clark County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the identity of the man along with the cause and manner of death at a later date.
