
Early this morning, Houston police were called to a grim scene at 3306 Dulcrest Street, where a house fire led to the discovery of a deceased female, her identity as yet unknown, pending family notification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The call came in around 3:20 a.m. as firefighters tackled the blaze, which revealed the victim requiring urgent medical care; however, despite being quickly transported to an area hospital, she was pronounced deceased, according to a statement made by the Houston Police Department.
Working to uncover the series of events that led to this tragedy, HPD Homicide Division's Sergeant C. LaFour and Detective A. Hernandez have joined forces with HFD's Arson Division, their efforts hinging on the pivotal autopsy results that'll hopefully shed light on the woman's cause of death.
