ABD Productions, the Luggage Store Gallery, and CHP are proud to present “I Got A Truth To Tell” the 6th Annual Skywatchers Festival on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Tenderloin National Forest at 509 Ellis St, San Francisco.

Skywatchers is an interdisciplinary community performance program developed by residents of the San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood in collaboration with ABD artists. “I Got A Truth To Tell,” a new performance work by the Skywatchers community ensemble, is the culmination of a year of community dialogue, storytelling, and artistic creation around themes of ancestry, cultural gas lighting, and the radical act of having each other’s backs. The performance is free, open to the public, and features residents of the Senator, Cambridge, Iroquois, Hamlin, San Cristina, and Dalt hotels, with ABD performers (Jose Abad, Anne Bluethenthal, Malia Byrne, Hope Casareno, Gabriel DeLeon, Krista DiNio, Sammay Dizon, Rama Hall, Yanina Rivera), guest artist Shakiri, and choral director Melanie DeMore,. The festival also features “I Am A Skywatcher, Too: Self Portraits by Neighbors,” a photo exhibition by Deirdre Visser, now on view at the Luggage Store Annex/509 Cultural Center.
