Alexa Burrell (LEXAGON) is a Bay Area sound and visual artist who composes intricate sonic and video works consisting primarily of sampled and found media. Burrell’s works emphasize the textural and visceral qualities of body, voice and identity.
Blending minimal techno, IDM, and noise, WOE absorbs and reflects the shared energies of our times via live performance. Members JaMile Jackson and Brian Tester have long histories in the Bay Area's electronic and underground rock scenes and combine well-honed improvisational skills with underlying structures to explore connections and experiences through sound. Their sound palette combines portable digital technologies with modern analog instrumentation.
