The Emperor’s Bridge Campaign presents Lights! Camera! Norton! — an evening of short films about Emperor Norton, at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco.
We'll be showing three films — one each from 1966, 1956 and 1936.
We think that the last one — a Columbia film short originally shown in theaters — is the earliest dramatic portrayal of the Emperor on film.
We'll be showing our own pristine and extremely rare 16mm print of this film with its original titles.
This special evening takes place in the 49-seat Little Roxie screening room — so space is limited. Book now to guarantee your seats!
Tickets are $12 — and 50 percent of all proceeds will benefit The Emperor's Bridge Campaign.
Members of the Campaign can get free tickets at the Roxie box office on the day of the show (if any tickets are remaining on that day).
