On Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:30am, NVCM's Classical Kids features the Trinity Alps Chamber Players performing Rudyard Kipling's "Just So Stories" set to music commissioned by the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival.
The performance lasts approximately 45 minutes, and is suitable for all ages. There will also be a petting zoo of the instruments immediately after the performance.
The fun family-friendly program will feature works for a chamber ensemble and narrator, and will be a setting of Rudyard Kipling's tales of animal origins, the "Just So Stories". With 6 instrumental performers (instruments may include violin, cello, bass, and/or flute, clarinet and piano) and a narrator, "Just So Stories" will feature each instrument taking a different animal or character in the stories, allowing children in the audience to follow the plot and understand the special sounds and nuances of each instrument.

This concert has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the San Francisco Arts Commission. Additional support provided by Mervyn L. Brenner Foundation and Salesforce.org.
NVCM has been presenting superb chamber music in San Francisco since 1992. We encourage performers to talk informally about their music from the stage, allowing members of our community to experience outstanding concert performances in an informal, yet authentic chamber music tradition.
