The SF Urban Film Fest (SFUFF) is an annual week-long film festival that focuses on cities and civic engagement inspired by great storytelling. SFUFF believes compelling stories can help shape urbanist ideas, practice, and project implementation to improve our cities for everyone.
Change is the SF Urban Film Fest theme this year because it is the central issue we are currently grappling with in cities. Climate change, income inequality, affordable housing, and lack of transit options, to name a few, impact the quality of life of urban dwellers. But simultaneously, the people who live in cities are also agents of change – resisting, strategizing, building and rebuilding. Our program examines this dynamic to offer insight and new ideas.
SFUFF is organized by urban planners and screens films in tandem with panel discussions and storytelling workshops.
