Bloomington Man Arrested for DUI After Crashing into Family's Car, Police Urge Responsible Celebrating Ahead of Mother's DaySource: Bloomington Police Department, MN

A man was arrested after slamming into the back of a family's car while under the influence. In a sobering post from the Bloomington Police Department on Facebook, it was revealed that the individual had a blood-alcohol level of .267, more than triple the legal limit when he decided to get behind the wheel and subsequently crashed into the unsuspecting family.

As we head into Mother’s Day celebrations, the police took to social media to urge the public to think twice before mixing alcohol and driving. "This person decided to drink and drive, then run into the back of a family," the department stated in a message published on May 8th. They continued, "Luckily everyone was ok."

Bloomington PD's alert did not just recount the events but also carried a clear directive towards safer choices: "Please remember that drinking and driving is never okay. Your actions affect not only yourself but also others on the road." The department advised to responsibly plan ahead, to designate a sober driver, or to simply opt for a rideshare service.
