Coordinated Sheriff's Operation in Wildomar Curbs Shoplifting, Leads to Multiple ArrestsSource: Riverside County Sheriff

Wildomar's local business owners breathed a sigh of relief as a coordinated operation by Lake Elsinore Sheriff's teams cracked down on shoplifters, nabbing goods worth $760 in the process. The sting, which unfolded on Wednesday, was rooted in an alarming spike in theft at a shop on Clinton Keith Road.

Real-time collaboration between the Wildomar Special Enforcement Team, their Lake Elsinore counterparts, and the Lake Elsinore Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team, alongside vigilant loss prevention staff, led to several arrests for a mix of offenses, from petty theft to illegal narcotics possession.

Among those caught in the sting were 26-year-old Khayonna Vandervalk of Wildomar for shoplifting, 31-year-old Edgar Ortega, also of Wildomar, for possession of illegal narcotics, and China Jewel Dillard, 37, nabbed for parking in a red emergency zone. The Riverside Sheriff's Office made the details public in a press release, affirming their commitment to battling crime in the community.

The station reminds locals that "Community Policing" thrives on the cooperation between law enforcement and resident vigilance. Those in the know about the arrests or related criminal activity have been urged to step up and contact Deputy Crivello at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station by ringing (951) 245–3300.
