Flames engulfed part of a southeast Houston apartment complex on Wednesday, leaving a firefighter and two civilians with minor injuries, authorities say. The incident unfolded at an apartment complex located at 8282 Park Place Boulevard, snarling traffic and prompting a warning from officials for people to steer clear of the area.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the blaze was reported between the Gulf Freeway and Galveston Road. The firefighter and the injured parties were swiftly transported to an emergency room for treatment of their wounds, as per a report by KHOU. The nature of injuries sustained is said to be minor. The Houston authorities have been laboring to control the situation, with the cause of the fire still under investigation. 

While detailed information regarding the conflagration's origins and aftermath remains sparse, the city's emergency response teams continue to remain vigilant at the scene. "One firefighter and two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries", reported FOX 26 Houston.
