A tragic hit-and-run in Northwest Miami-Dade has resulted in the death of a woman and a manhunt for the driver, police say. According to WSVN, 33-year-old Meylin Romero was a passenger in a truck that collided with another vehicle early Sunday morning. She suffered injuries that culminated in her death.

Police report the collision took place near the intersection of Northwest 95th Street and Northwest 17th Avenue. Fleeing the crash site on foot, 38-year-old Marvin Garcia is actively sought by authorities for his alleged role in the accident. Just before 6 a.m., when the crash happened at about 5:45 am, the couple was said to be traveling southbound on Northwest 17th Avenue.

Detectives are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding the whereabouts of Garcia, as mentioned in a report by NBC Miami. The suspect fled the scene after the impact, which involved a Chevrolet Colorado and a Dodge Ram. Authorities want to bring closure to this devastating event that left Munoz Romero's life cut short.

The Miami-Dade Police are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest, with up to $5,000 promised for tips that help pin down the suspect.
