Not that long ago, Divisadero Street was but a sleepy, dusty corridor separating the western edge of San Francisco from the eastern wilds of the Presidio. There was nary a single artisanal pizzeria to speak of, let alone a Popeyes.
Fortunately, times have changed. Today, the street is positively booming with boutiques, bars, and world-class eateries. And while Divisadero long ago ceded its title as San Francisco's western border (to... well... the ocean), the street is the reigning unofficial western border of the Lower Haight -- and, thus, deserves celebrating.
