Off the Grid Debuts in Hayes Valley Tonight
Great news, food truck fans: tonight marks the official launch of Off the Grid (OTG) in Hayes Valley. Already a staple in the Upper Haight, Civic Center, Fort Mason and other spots around town, OTG gives you the chance to sample delicious food from a variety of the Bay Area’s mobile food vendors.

Located at Octavia and Linden, OTG will be hosting three vendors for your choosing: Hapa SF, KoJa Kitchen and The Taco Guys. Between 5pm and 8pm, you’ll have a chance to sample these Filipino, Korean/Japanese, and creative taco cuisines, respectively. To celebrate the occasion, local performers Jeanie & Chuck’s Country Roundup will be performing bluegrass and country music. And if you’re thinking to yourself, "Haven't I seen food trucks in our hood already?", you're correct. Off the Grid has "pods" scattered throughout the city, with rotating trucks occupying a single space. One such pod is located in Hayes Valley, in the area behind Ritual Coffee and Smitten Ice Cream. To find out who will be occupying the space in the future, check out their schedule. Perhaps it's true that all good launches come in twos. So, celebrate Hayeswire's launch today, and stop by Off the Grid tonight. See you there!
