Meet Uppercasing, a Haighteration For the Upper Haight

Ever since we started Haighteration two-years-minus-a-day ago, we've known this day would eventually come. The readership in the Upper Haight has been too strong, the lack of reliable neighborhood coverage too palpable, the stories of crime-inspiring chihuahuas and free ice cream cake too juicy to ignore. So, today we're finally doing it. We're launching an Upper Haight blog.

We're calling it Uppercasing, and it's tasked with covering all the ins and outs of life in the Upper Haight. Uppercasing is being edited by the fantastic duo of Amy Stephenson, an east-coast expat who's lived and worked in the neighborhood for three years, and Camden Avery, who likes books, coffee, the color grey, whiskey, and meeting people. Amy and Camden are great writers and enthusiastic Upper Haighters, and we're lucky to have them at the helm. If you're an Upper Haight resident or aficionado, go visit uppercasing.com, befriend it on Facebook, and/or follow it on Twitter. And if you have any story ideas or want to contribute to the blog, definitely let Amy and Camden know. So there you have it -- Haighteration and Uppercasing, now covering the entire Lower and Upper Haights.* *and maybe even the Middle.
