Well it's Friday, and with a little luck that halo of heavenly light you see before you is an enormous, well-iced margarita.

In case you forgot, tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, every American's favorite mostly-fake Mexican holiday, and we're here to help you get your fiesta on. So first: an open call for everybody's best margarita recipe. We promise we'll try them ALL, announce the winner, and salute the lucky pato as we while away the afternoon. May the top sombrero win. Other goings-on you might want to partake in: BOOKSMITH BOOZESWAP Tonight, 6:30. We got them to issue some extra tickets after our plug the other day, so there are still one or two for you little early birds. This Bookswap theme: booze. Come prepared. BOTANICAL GARDEN PLANT SALE Saturday, 10 to 2, at the County Fair Building: the SF Botanical Garden is holding its annual plant sale. OMIT SKATE JAM & BBQ Sunday: FTC Skate Shop is hosting the Omit skate crew at Shrader and Waller for a barbecue and skate jam from 1 to 3 p.m.
