Huge congrats to our Hayes Valley Art Coalition and Envelope A+D (the architect team behind ProxySF) for winning a recent award.

San Francisco Beautiful held their 41st Beautification Awards at the Armory Community Center last Friday. In case you haven't heard of the organization, they're a sixty year old group that has a mission of helping "create, enhance, and maintain the unique beauty and livability of San Francisco." Last Friday at the recognition ceremony, 20 different projects were nominated for five major awards and one of those five is coming home to Hayes Valley. The winner of the Activation award went to the "Octavia Boulevard Pop-Ups." This project includes the art installations at Patricia's Green sponsored by the Hayes Valley Art Coalition, along with everything Envelope A+D has done to make ProxySF one of the neighborhood's differentiators. Madeline Behrens-Brigham and Russell Pritchard co-founded the HVAC in 2007 and were very excited to win last week. They wanted to share that they are "very grateful that everyone in Hayes Valley, neighbors, merchants, fellow artists and friends who have worked with us and supported us, making our art endeavors possible." The award will be on display at Zonal (568 Hayes) during business hours. Stop by and check out what the neighborhood has achieved.
