Things Are Happening: A Photoset

Lots of projects on the street are in the works, so we thought we'd give you a progress report in the form of a photoset.

First up, as you can see in the photo above, the mural at Haight and Masonic is finished! What do you think?
Across the way, the front of the former check cashing place has been spruced up, and, of course, immediately vandalized. Every window has been tagged. But how 'bout that school bus yellow paint job:
Next Up: Remember how Bia's closed? We got to sneak in while they were ripping up the back deck yesterday:
Last we saw all the wood was piled inside the former dining room space. Next up: Haight Street Market's Parklet is up and running and festive for the season! As of yesterday morning it was loaded with folks drinking coffee and chatting, so go on in, the weather's fine:
Last but not least, we're sad to repot that Iris, the little lingerie shop next to Gypsy, has closed. We're still digging around to find out what will go into the space, but for now, adieu Iris:
So that's what's happening! Don't forget to lotion your sunburns.
