Weeknight Out: Nerd Games at the Booksmith
Okay, guys. We've got a tip for your next hot Tuesday night out. It involves pizza, wine, scary-smart local authors and your impeccable razor wit. Bring it.

Hop to it, kids: the Booksmith is hosting the year's first Word/Play, a bimonthly nerd-friendly throwdown where authors face off for arbitrarily awarded points and the esteem of a rowdy audience. Booksmith launched Word/Play last year as part of their recurring, in-house literary party nights (right alongside Bookswap and Literary Clown Foolery), and tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7 PM is your chance to bring your A-game. The authors: Faith Adiele, Casey Childers, Ken Grobe, Dinah Sanders, Steven Westdahl, and Kevin Smokler. The games: a made-up lit-themed melage of trivia and quick thinking-on-the-fly. Tickets are $15. That includes 2 hours of shenaniganery, unlimited pizza and an open wine and beer bar.
(And, you know, the Booksmith is the other place Amy and Camden work hard for the money--and they think the Booksmith kids know how to party pretty hard too.) So we'll see you there, right?
