Few New Details Emerge in Acosta MurderFacebook/Your Memories of Ernesto Xe Acosta
It's been 11 days since Ernesto "Xe" Acosta was killed at Hayes and Webster, and though there are still no suspects in the case, a few new details have emerged regarding Acosta's death.

Acosta was "bringing a friend's belongings to her home" when he was shot at 2am on February 10th, The Chronicle cites police as saying. The article adds that there was no sign of Acosta having been robbed or assaulted. The exact details of the shooting are still unclear. A Bay City News report posted by the SFAppeal yesterday initially classified the shooting as a drive-by, but that reference has since been removed. As more details of Acosta's background emerge, the motive for the shooting remains a mystery. Police noted that Acosta "was not involved in any criminal activity and had never been arrested," according to CBS. "It was a senseless, cold-blooded murder for no apparent reason," a police spokesman told The Chronicle. Anyone with information about the case should call the SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.
