Harding Theater Available For $4.2 Million
This is not an April Fools joke: Divisadero's Harding Theater is back on the market. And the price has gone up -- to $4.2 million.

The Harding, at 616 Divisadero, has been vacant since 2003. As we detailed in January of 2012, the theater had been put on the market for $3.6 million after plans to turn it into condos fell through. Some local residents who were concerned about the Harding's fate formed a group, Neighbors Developing Divisadero, to try to raise money to purchase the property. But in June of 2012, the Harding was pulled from the market without explanation. A few days ago, it returned. A new listing offers the Harding for $4,200,000. It's described as a "large building last used as a church. 2 retail spaces in front and a large theater with a balcony and very high ceilings. 2 street frontages 80 feet on Divisadero Street and 45 feet on Hayes Street, L shaped lot." Will someone finally come along and purchase this huge chunk of real estate on the blazing-hot Divisadero corridor? We shall see...
