The Week End is Here: Lets Have Fun!Charile Horse invades Midnight Sun!

The week end feels like it came a bit early this week with Halloween falling on a Thursday. The celebration of All Hallows Eve continues Saturday, All Souls Day, in the Mission where sacred and secular meld for the annual San Francisco Dia de los Muertos celebration procession and altar building honoring the ancestors. If you're starting to organize your 'what to do list' here's our suggestions for the coming week end in the Castro.

Friday, November 1st: Join Under One Roof Pop Up Store (515 Castro St) for their holiday kick off party at 5PM. Come check out all the newest trim, gift ideas and decorations the non-profit is offering for the quickly approaching Holiday season. Libations provided by Barefoot Wines. A portion of the proceeds from all items sold fund SF HIV/AIDS organizations. Post party walk around the corner to Magnet SF (4122 18th St.) for their monthly art opening. Tonight's reception is for November 2013's featured artist Justime. His show, Justime Universal Constant, consists of print work on paper in various forms. "I deconstruct some of the perceived confines of human sexuality through my printmaking magic", Justime writes in his artist bio describing his work. Reception starts at 8PM with drinks and nibbles. Both of these events are FREE and open to all. Saturday November 2nd: The weather report forecast has Saturday sunny but chilly. If you want to sleep in and hibernate no one will blame you but come night-time come join us over at Midnight Sun (4067 18th St.) when the creative crew from the long-running performance Queer club, Charlie Horse, kicks off their new night in the heart of the Castro. Two of SF's hardest working ho's, er, I mean hostesses, Muthachucka and one time SF Supervisor candidate, Anna Conda, will be in charge off a night of Sex, Drags, & Rock n' Roll debauchery starting at 9PM for FREE! Woot! My kind of party!
