Clear your calendar and your arteries, because Three Twins Ice Cream is reopening at 254 Fillmore today. For real.
It's been 833 days (but who's counting?) since the shop shuttered in the wake of the massive fire at 493 Haight Street:
"Awhile" indeed. Today our Lemon Cookie drought officially ends, as the shop hosts its soft re-opening. You'll notice a few changes; for example, the exterior green paint job is gone (boo), while the ice cream case has been expanded to accommodate 12 flavors instead of 8 (yay). They'll also have some new items on the menu, including ice cream sandwiches. An official grand opening will be held some time in the coming weeks. For now, Three Twins will be open Monday through Friday from 11am to 10pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 11pm.
thank goodness everyone is safe! due to the fire, we're closing our doors for awhile...will keep you posted!— Three Twins (@threetwinssf) September 28, 2011
