Observe: times they are a-changing, as they say, at the corner of Haight and Cole.

We happened to be walking by while the space was open, and it looks like they've made short work of gutting the inside of the old HYA space. As you can see in the photo above, it's down to just the joists, and you can see clear through out the back window. Speaking of HYA, our local homeless population is back in the news. SF Gate is reporting that 40 people gathered at Buena Vista Park to protest park maintenance. Once city officials showed up (Supervisor Scott Wiener, Recreation and Park director Phil Ginsburg and Park Station Capt. Greg Corrales), the discussion devolved into complaints about the homeless encampments in the park.
