Public Realm Plan Meeting Next Week
Mark your calendars, citizens: Thursday, February 27 from 6 to 8 PM is your next chance to hear about and respond to the Haight Ashbury Public Realm Plan.

From 6 to 8 PM next Thursday the 27th at the Urban School (1563 Page), the city planning department in the person of Alexis Smith will be presenting information on the Haight Ashbury Public Realm Plan, the neighborhood redesign that could change and improve the ways we're able to use the neighborhood. Proposed components of the plan include sidewalk bulb-outs, plantings, different traffic patterns and public art. This meeting particularly is to discuss and take comment on the proposals for traffic improvements and streetscapes--the planning department will be presenting in tandem with representatives from the Municipal Transportation Agency. According to the planning department's notice, "The input that we receive at this meeting will be used to select preferred alternatives and further develop them."
