Over the past couple of weeks, we've gotten all sorts of tips and questions from our readers. Time to dig into the Hoodline mailbag and see what's on your collective mind.

Joe writes:
"Can you please follow up on the SF MUNI TEP plan and what the outcome was for the bus lines in the related hoods you cover?"
Sure we can.

On Friday, the SFMTA board voted 5-0 (with one absent) to approve the plan incorporating the most recent revisions that we detailed last week.  Changes include eliminating the 71-Haight bus line, making the 71L run all day, keeping the 6-Parnassus route as-is but eventually extending it to West Portal, increasing the frequency of the 21-Hayes and the 24-Divisadero, removing or relocating stops on the N-Judah west of Cole, installing 7-foot sidewalk bulbouts at the intersections of Haight and Divisadero and Haight and Fillmore, and changing the southern end of the 22-Fillmore to no longer pass through Potrero Hill.

You can get more details on all the changes here (click on the Details tab).

Josh asks:

"What's up with that huge empty apartment above 'whole foods market' on Haight and Fillmore? It is painted orange and always lit, but no one lives there."
Good question, Josh.  We don't know the answer for sure, although one commenter on our Facebook page says that a 2-bedroom unit in that building just rented for $3800.  Maybe that was it?

Geoff has a recommendation:

"Hey in case you hadn't heard of them, wanted to call to your attention local business Streets of San Francisco, which runs bike tours of the city and specializes in tours that run right through all of the neighborhoods covered in your blog."
Thanks Geoff -- we profiled Streets of SF a couple of years ago, and agree that they're worth the shout-out.

John wants an update:

"Not a tip, just a story I'd like to see updated… the fate of the "recycling center" at the corner of Market and Buchanan? As a daily bike commuter down the gauntlet of glass, sometimes known as the Duboce Bikeway, I am looking forward to being rid of it. I thought an agreement had been reached to get them out of there?"
You're right, but the agreement was delayed a bit.  As we reported in January, the recycling center now has until the end of June to vacate the premises.

Finally, Nick has a warning for dog owners of the Inner Sunset:

"A suspicious meatball was found in the beginning of this week near Sunset Towers, on 8 Locksley Ave in the Inner Sunset. All of us residents got an email notice from the management, and warnings were also posted in the lobby and in the elevators... The meatball was sent to SFPD for inspection. No word yet on if it was poisonous or not."
Given all the poisoned meatballs that have been popping up around the city over the last year, we certainly appreciate the heads-up.

As always, if you have a question, tip, or other feedback for us, let us know.
