You Asked: Why Is Talbot Café Boarded Up?

While we try our best to stay afoot of everything going on in the neighborhood, we're not always able to catch every opening, closing, or event taking place. Which is why we heavily rely on (and greatly appreciate) any tips, tweets, or posts about things you see and are curious about.

Yesterday we received a tweet asking us about Talbot Café:
We stopped by the store and noticed the covered windows too. We couldn't find a sign that said "Closed" but we did locate some contact information.

We reached out to Phuong Thanh who explained to us that Talbot Café is only temporarily closed while they're painting the space, revamping the menu, and changing ownership.

"We have a new owner and a new menu coming soon," Phuong explained. "I'll be the new owner. I'm taking out some of the basic items but kept a few of the popular ones like the chicken sandwich. We're adding items like a polenta waffle. And we'll now be serving Sightglass coffee."

Phuong expects Talbot to reopen sometime next week. As soon as we hear about the exact date, we'll be sure to update this post.
