Noir Lounge Gets Full Liquor, Plots Brewing OperationNoir Lounge/Facebook
As noted back in August, Hayes Street's Noir Lounge has been in the process of acquiring a full liquor license. Late last week, Noir finally made good on the promise of an expanded spirits selection, debuting a full cocktail list to supplement its beer and wine offering.

According to owner Brian Cassanego, the bar is focusing on classic cocktails in accordance with its 1940s noir theme.  Bar staff Jessica Trader and Christopher Parks are behind the new cocktail offering, which will include Sazeracs, Gin Slings, Old Fashioneds and more, plus a take on the old Trader Vic's 1944 Mai Tai. 

The bar is still ramping up its spirits inventory, but Cassanego says there will be a focus on the brown spectrum, with a lot of Irish whiskey, Scotch and bourbon on the way. 

As we also noted a few months ago, Noir is also getting into the brewpub game, and will begin its own brewing operation shortly. Cassanego says that the bar should start serving its first house-brewed batch sometime in mid-January, if all goes according to plan. As far as styles go, he says they'll be keeping it simple with a focus on ales. Once things are up and running, two Noir brews on tap will join 10 other beers for a total of 12 draft beers to quench your thirst.

As of September, Noir has also added pizza to its food menu, so if you haven't been through in a while, it might be time to check out the bar's boozier, and soon to be sudsier, offerings.
