Video: Dirt Bike Crew Does Wheelies, Burnouts In Haight Street TakeoverPhoto: Tinou Bao/Flickr

Wondering about that commotion in the neighborhood this past Saturday afternoon? In case you missed it, an anonymous tipster sent in a video of the proceedings, which saw a dirt bike group that calls itself "Chicken Shit" take to Haight Street between Ashbury and Central to show off their skills as drivers and pedestrians looked on.

The video, shot by Lorenzo Belda, is only about a minute long, and it's worth it just for the looks on people's faces as the dirt bikes, which are not street legal, zoom around inches away from passing cars.

Urban dirt biking has grown in popularity in certain pockets of the country, with the 2013 documentary "12 O'Clock Boys" highlighting one group in Baltimore, and articles noting the phenomenon in Atlanta, New Haven and D.C., among others.

We haven't heard much about dirt bikes hitting the streets in San Francisco, but with the official start of summer creeping up, who knows what further shenanigans  will materialize in the Haight.

Did you see it go down? Tell us in the comments.
