It didn't take long for a new business to take over the former location of Cindy's Herb Shop on 18th Street, as tipster Denny G. informed us. Less than two months after the herb shop closed, Dashing Sole, a new shoe store, is set to have its grand opening this Friday.

Owner Orzy Lapitov, who's opening the business along with his wife Dalia, tells Hoodline that "Dashing Sole is a shoe store which accentuates mostly on high-end, casual comfy shoes ... we'll be carrying brands that are mostly from Europe and New Zealand, including Finn Comfort, Pikolinos, Wolky, Fidelio, Ziera, Wanders, Gabor, Camper, and Hubbard."

Lapitov adds that Dashing Sole will carry shoes that "are designed for people with foot and health issues ... Customers will be able to try various shoes to determine which one is best for them and their issues."

Dashing Sole will also offer complimentary delivery around the neighborhood.

The company's website is still under construction, and the shoes currently on the placeholder website (including a pair listed for $2,300) are only test listings, and aren't reflective of what will be carried in the store. "Everything is happening really quickly at the moment," says Lapitov, adding that the corrected website will be on its way soon.

Dashing Sole's business hours may change, but for the initial opening, they'll be Monday-Friday from 10am-9pm, Saturday from 11am-9pm, and Sunday from 11am-7pm. Stop by this Friday for the grand opening, take a look at what they have to offer and let us know what you think.
