There will soon be another vacancy in the Castro as the discount sunglass store Sunglasses On Castro (415 Castro St.) has announced that it will be closing at the end of the month.

Hoodline stopped by yesterday after seeing the announcement of the closure in the windows of the business and spoke with employee Mar Romero about the impending closure.

Romero tells Hoodline that after being in the neighborhood for five years, "the shop will be closing at the end of the month due to a decrease in business." Romero was unable to tell us anything about the future of the space.

In the meantime, browse their selection this weekend during The Castro Street Fair for a variety of inexpensive options.

Currently, every pair of sunglasses in the store, along with some fedoras, are $5 during the closing sale.

We'll keep you updated as we get more information about future plans for the space.
