A year after a successful crowdfunding campaign that helped her secure a storefront at 7th & Irving, Delightful Designs owner Jacqueline Stoecker has decided to close her refurbished furniture and home decor boutique, to focus on flea markets and online customers. After an end-of-lease sale, the store's last day was January 29th.

In a blog post, Stoecker said Delightful Designs' first year had been "wonderfully successful" and that she "may have a heavy heart as I say goodbye to the little shop on Irving Street that has given me so much joy." Customers can still shop the boutique online or find her wares at the Alameda Point Antiques Faire

There are now three vacant storefronts at the corner of 7th & Irving: neighboring clothier Covet also closed its doors last week, and Spotted Dog Graphics vacated the space next to Delightful Designs last year. We'll continue to watch this space for new developments.
