Giant Inflatable Rabbits Rise In Civic Center Plaza TodayPhoto: Beth Thomas / Hoodline

A surreal scene is unfolding today in front of City Hall, as several white, inflatable rabbits, some up to 23 feet tall, are taking over the plaza. As we've previously noted, the rabbits are part of a piece of work titled Intrude, by Australian artist Amanda Parer, and will officially be on display starting tomorrow.

A dedication ceremony for the art piece will take place at 9am tomorrow morning, on the Polk Street steps of City Hall (across from Civic Center Plaza). The show will be up until April 25th, so be sure to swing by before the end of the month to see these oh-so-big bunnies in person.
