Lazy Fish and Sushi is set to open at 2181 Irving Street (Irving and 23rd Avenue), the site of the former Yum Yum Fish. 

According to signs on the window, Lazy Fish will be a restaurant specializing in sushi to go, with the owners having 30 years of experience in the business. 

The signs also state that the restaurant would open yesterday, April 28th. However, as of yesterday afternoon, the restaurant still has newspaper on the windows. 

Late last year, Yum Yum Fish quietly closed after 35 years in business, leaving behind forlorn fans surprised by the sudden closure.

Despite repeated attempts to contact the owners, Hoodline was unable to reach them for more information about the opening. We'll keep an eye out to see if we can learn more.
