As we previously noted, filming of ABC's miniseries When We Rise is set to descend on the Castro, and filming will be in full swing this weekend.

Flyers from Film 49 Productions have gone up on residences and businesses along Castro Street notifying them of the locations that'll be affected by filming from 8pm on Saturday night to 7am Sunday morning. The affected area will be along Castro Street between 17th and 19th, and 18th Street between Collingwood and Hartford. There will also be shooting on 17th Street between Castro and Hartford, and on Market Street between Noe and Castro.

According to the notification, crews will "film a scene where a man is harassed and blows a rape whistle and a fight ensues."

Oh, and When We Rise is still looking for extras, especially if you've got a hairstyle "consistent with the 1970s."
