Damaged Cable Cuts Power To Hundreds In Inner Sunset [Updated]Photo: Daniel Hoherd/Flickr

Hot on the heels of yesterday's power outage in the Lower Haight, PG&E is battling another outage this morning in the Inner Sunset. Around 6:15am this morning, approximately 500 customers in the vicinity of Irving and Hugo streets between 2nd and 3rd Avenues lost power.

While electricity was restored to just under half of those customers around 8:30am, another 275 remain without power. PG&E says that a "damaged underground power cable" is to blame for the outage, and is currently at work on a fix, estimating that power will be restored sometime around noon.

Update, 5:03pm: After five additional hours of delays, residents report the power has returned.
